Our Coating Services

Sinclair Optical Coating Services is a specialist ophthalmic lens coating supplier providing a range of thin film coating services to the optical profession.

From our dedicated centre in Ross-on-Wye, we can provide you with all of your coating needs including reflection-free, scratch resistant, sun spec (wrap) mirror coating and cosmetic tinting.

Our laboratory is equipped with the latest technology supported by an industry leading process and technical support. This enables us to deliver a consistent and reliable high quality service to support your business.

Our Reflection-Free products

EASICLEAN is our entry level reflection-free product offering the best all round value coating on the market. Based on a foundation hardcoat/reflection-free package with hydro-oleophobic top coat, EASICLEAN is available on all lens products although it is not index matched.

EASICLEAN HD is our premium reflection-free coating. Our EASICLEAN HD coating uses the same foundation process as our entry level coating however additional processes deliver superior all-round performance providing a minimum 30% improvement for scratch resistance and 50% improvement in ease of lens cleaning than our entry level product.

Hardcoat

We offer two scratch resistant polymer coatings which are available on all organic lens products tintable and non-tintable

Mirror Coating

We can supply 5 colours of mirror finish – gold, silver, blue, green and orange. Silver and gold colours are available in low and high reflection forms.
